Lm 2,400 from sale of Winter Moods EP donated to animal charities
Six months after the launch of Winter Moods’ EP ‘Closer’ the initial funds collected from sales – Lm2,400 - were distributed among six animal welfare societies. The Association of Abandoned Animals (AAA), Island Sanctuary, National Cat Society, St Francis Foundation for Animals, Noah’s Ark and Support for Abandoned Animals received Lm400 each through the SOS Animals Malta.

In April of this year Winter Moods launched ‘Closer’, in aid of local animal welfare charities. All proceeds from the sale of this EP were committed to SOS Animals Malta Welfare Fund better known as ‘Il-Karus ta’ l-Annimali’. The EP contains four songs, ‘Closer’,

Not Enough (for Africa)’ ‘Everyday Song’ which features the Voices choir, and an acoustic version of ‘Come to You’.

The production of ‘Closer’ was fully supported by Vodafone Malta Limited. The company covered all costs relating to the making of the EP, so that all the proceeds could be donated to the animal welfare charities.

One can support SOS Animals Malta by purchasing ‘Closer’, which is still available for sale from local music shops and Vodafone Retail Outlets at Lm2.50, and by making a donation via SMS on 50616000 for a donation of 50 cents, on 50617358 for a donation of Lm1, on 50618071 for a donation of Lm2, on 50618914 for a donation of Lm3 and on 50619209 for a donation of Lm5.

‘Closer’ has been nominated for best song at the Bay Music Awards, which will take place at the Eden Arena on the 7th of December. Winter Moods are also nominated for best song of all time with ‘Everyday Song’. The band will be performing on the night.
